Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree in Speech Pathologyfrom an accredited college or university
• Current Texas state license
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Feeding experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provides skilled speech therapyservices/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapyservices/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervisionvisit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals ofthe speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapyreputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
