Description

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
• Design customized treatment plans focusing on both immediate goals and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement individualized speech therapy interventions centered around communication facets like language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families, equipping them with tools to support their progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Provide assistance with occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless treatment process.
• Maintain timely and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
