Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - PRN/Per Diem
Aspire Senior Living Carthage, a premier resident-focused care provider, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our exceptional team! As a PRN/Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care to our residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities
- Assess referred patients that require rehabilitation services
- Provide direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation
- Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician
- Set realistic and achievable goals for patients
- Document and record patients’ conditions
- Educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method
- Evaluate, write weekly progress notes, recertification, and discharge documentation
- Collaborate with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care
- Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
- Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA, and Federal Residents’ Rights
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications/Requirements
- Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university
- Must have a valid professional license and registration as a (SLP) Speech Language Pathologist in Missouri
- Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred
