Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Travel Assignment
Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment in Belen, NM . The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain travel experience while working in a supportive clinical or educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and/or swallowing function
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, educators, and caregivers
- Educate patients, families, and staff on treatment goals and strategies
- Adhere to ethical standards and state/federal regulations
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible NM State SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous clinical experience preferred (setting-specific experience a plus)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and patient populations
