Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive evaluations for a variety of patient demographics, creating individualized treatment plans, delivering hands-on speech therapy, working in conjunction with healthcare teams, providing education to patients and their families, conducting occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, maintaining clinical documentation, and committing to continuous education.
Qualifications include a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution, completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year if not yet ASHA certified, state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, and Basic Life Support certification.
Essential skills include proficiency in applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques, exceptional interpersonal communication skills, capability to tailor therapy strategies, sound clinical judgment, and comfortable navigating electronic medical records.
