Job Summary
We seek a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech and language disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping patients improve their communication skills and enhance their quality of life. Pay: $55 - $100 per visit (35 - 60 minutes each visit)
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.
- Provide therapy sessions to patients with speech and language disorder.
- Utilize a variety of techniques and modalities to improve patients' communication skills.
- Collaborate with SOAL's multidisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patients' progress throughout the treatment process.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication outside of therapy sessions.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Valid ASHA Certification.
- Previous experience in pediatrics and home health setting is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of speech therapy techniques, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
