Job Description
Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Hours/Shift (Hours per week & Schedule): 35 hours per week
Elementary: 8:15a-3:45p
Middle/High School: 7:30a-3:00p
Pay (Target & Max Rate): $65/hr
Duration (Direct Placement, Contract, C2H): 26/27 School Year
Job Description/Role Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, intervention, consultation, and documentation services to students with communication disorders. The SLP participates as a member of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team and helps ensure students receive appropriate speech language services.
55 Student Contacts per week
-Conduct speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication evaluations
-Interpret assessment results and determine student eligibility for speech-language services
-Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and objectives
-Provide individual and group speech-language therapy
-Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (when applicable)
-Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
-Collaborate with teachers, parents, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other school personnel
-Recommend and support the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when appropriate
-Monitor student progress and modify intervention plans as needed.
-Ensure compliance with IDEA, Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) regulations, and district policies
-Participate in professional development and maintain required licensure and certification
Qualifications:
Must (Experience, Licenses/Certifications, Endorsements, Skills):
-Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
-Maryland license in Speech-Language Pathology
