Speech Language Pathologist PRN

Overview

Schedule: PRN, as needed, weekdays and/or weekends availability. Facility: St. Agnes - Ascension. Location: Baltimore, MD. Salary: $40.26-$54.00 per hour. Benefits: Paid time off (PTO).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
• Perform therapy intervention utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plan.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.

Education

• Required: Master’s degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of a university.
• Preferred: Doctorate degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of a university.

Additional Preferences

Tier 1: 3 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule. Required to work 1 winter holiday shift ($50.00).
Tier 2: 6 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Required to work 2 holidays shifts (1 in winter and 1 in summer) ($52.00).
Tier 3: 10 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Required to work 3 holidays shifts (2 in winter and 1 in summer) ($54.00).
