Speech Language Pathologist in San Jose, CA

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary and preschool students near San Jose, CA. This position plays a crucial role in supplementing existing site teams, helping manage increased caseloads, and contributing to vital assessments throughout the district. This assignment is expected to begin on 9/25/2026 and continue until an internal hire is completed, offering a chance to make an immediate difference and gain valuable school-based experience.
Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders required
• Valid SLP licensure or certification strongly preferred (SLP-CCC highly valued, but district may consider candidates without state license)
• Prior school-based experience, especially with elementary or preschool populations, strongly preferred
• Ability to manage a dynamic rotation between two school sites-Braly ES (mild to moderate) and Briarwood ES (general education/preschool)
• Flexibility, excellent communication, and strong assessment skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as a supplemental provider
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to support the district in managing overload caseloads
• Collaborate with site SLPs, general/special education teachers, and other related service personnel
• Rotate between Braly ES and Briarwood ES, with one assigned location per day; schedule may vary throughout the week
• Maintain timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
