Speech Language Pathologist

Cecil County Public Schools (CCPS) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students from birth through age 21. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting student success through assessment, intervention, collaboration, and compliance with educational and state guidelines.

Key responsibilities include conducting speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments; preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate clinical documentation; developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and/or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs); participating in IEP and IFSP meetings as a collaborative team member; providing individualized and group therapy services based on student needs; communicating effectively with families, educators, administrators, and related service providers; offering consultation and support to school personnel and caregivers; tracking student progress and documenting responses to therapy interventions; submitting all required logs, reports, and service documentation in a timely manner; maintaining supervision records and complying with Maryland state requirements regarding assistants; and delivering services in public schools, private schools, and/or Infants & Toddlers Program locations as assigned.

Qualifications include a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, an active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology License, ASHA CCC-SLP Certification (Preferred/Required), prior school-based and/or pediatric experience preferred, excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Additional information includes a maximum billable hours of 35 hours per week, travel time between service locations may be billable when properly documented, and services must be provided in accordance with Cecil County Public Schools policies, procedures, and applicable state regulations.
