Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Salary Range: $46,364 - $62,459

Responsibilities
- Conduct informal screenings and formal testing to identify speech, language, fluency, voice, and hearing deficits among students.
- Utilize testing results to assist in developing appropriate IEPs, selecting materials and strategies for therapy, and tracking student progress.
- Operate audiometric equipment to support diagnostic processes.
- Participate in state and district screening programs and act as a resource for hearing conservation efforts.
- Facilitate ongoing communication with educational staff regarding the identification, nature, and management of speech and hearing disorders.
- Provide in-service training to teachers, offering insights into diagnostic materials, remediation methods, and classroom strategies for supporting students with speech and language needs.
Qualifications
- To successfully fulfill this role, an individual must have the capability to perform each essential duty effectively.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Possession of an ADE Speech-Language Assistant or Technician Certificate is required.
