Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current SLPA license or certification recognized by the state board
- Previous experience supporting speech/language programs in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, educators, and families
- Ability to implement speech therapy plans developed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads, document sessions, and track student progress
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
- Assist in delivering speech and language therapy sessions under the supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) by working directly with students, helping reinforce targeted skills and strategies
- Prepare therapy materials and activities to address students' speech and language objectives
- Collect and maintain accurate records of student performance, progress, and session attendance
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborate with teachers and support staff
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, encouraging student confidence and independence
