Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Texas SLPA license required
- Previous experience in school-based and/or healthcare therapy environments strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and comfort with digital documentation systems
- Proven ability to adapt therapy for a variety of student needs in both one-on-one and group settings
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Openness to working as part of a multidisciplinary team under district supervision
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP, following individual education plans
- Conduct screenings, collect data, and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district procedures
- Travel between assigned schools to provide support where needed, compensated for travel time
- Collaborate with educators and parents to support student progress and participate in team meetings
- Receive on-the-job training, including IEP system orientation and ongoing support from district supervisors
- Uphold school and district policies regarding confidentiality, conduct, and student safety
