Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join an exceptional educational team in El Paso County, CO. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity running from July 2025 through May 2026.


In this role, you will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists by implementing therapy plans and working closely with students to enhance their communication skills in a school-based setting. This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, with guaranteed 37.5 hours weekly.


Position Details



  • Location: In-person (no hybrid or remote opportunities).

  • Schedule: 7:30am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday.

  • Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours weekly.

  • Start Date: August 2025.

  • End Date: May 2026.

  • Base pay range: $37.00/hr - $43.00/hr.

  • Note: This pay range is provided by Onward Search; actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.


Responsibilities



  • Implement speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions based on documented treatment plans and IEP goals.

  • Assist in administering speech, language, and hearing screenings and informal assessments.

  • Prepare and organize therapy materials, activities, and documentation tools.

  • Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate service records.

  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support carryover of communication strategies.

  • Monitor and report student performances to the supervising SLP for program updates.

  • Support scheduling, clerical duties, and organization of therapy spaces.

  • Follow ethical, legal, and professional guidelines for SLPA practice and scope.

  • Participate in required training, supervision, and professional development opportunities.


Qualifications



  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in speech language pathology, communication sciences and disorders, or a related field.

  • Speech Language Pathology Assistant License from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
