Position Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Consult with teachers, families, and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
- Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and AAC needs
California SLP Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility for licensure
- Completion of required supervised clinical practicum experience
- Successful completion of the Praxis Speech-Language Pathology Examination
- Ability to satisfy all district and state background clearance requirements
California licensure generally requires a master's degree, supervised clinical experience, fingerprint clearance, and qualifying examination scores through the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- School-based experience preferred
- Experience developing and implementing IEP goals
- Familiarity with AAC devices and autism spectrum disorders
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
