Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Rohnert Park, California | School-Based Position | $35-$50+ Per Hour

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
  • Consult with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and AAC needs

California SLP Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active California Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility for licensure
  • Completion of required supervised clinical practicum experience
  • Successful completion of the Praxis Speech-Language Pathology Examination
  • Ability to satisfy all district and state background clearance requirements

California licensure generally requires a master's degree, supervised clinical experience, fingerprint clearance, and qualifying examination scores through the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • School-based experience preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing IEP goals
  • Familiarity with AAC devices and autism spectrum disorders
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
