Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor to prepare laboratory specimens for analysis in a high-throughput environment. The role involves unpacking, identifying, labeling, and shipping specimens while maintaining accurate data entry and meeting production goals. The position works Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens according to standard operating procedures
- Unpack specimens and route them to appropriate staging and testing areas
- Accurately identify, label, and document patient specimens
- Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to handle biological specimens safely and comfortably
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds regularly
- Pass standardized colorblindness test
- Proficiency with MS Office software
- One year or more laboratory, accessioning, production, or warehouse experience (preferred)
