Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens and route to appropriate staging areas
- Unpack, identify, label, and pack specimens according to protocols
- Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and timely
- Resolve and document problem specimens
- Meet departmental production goals and activity targets
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens and able to identify them accurately
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and pass color blindness screening
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and team-based work environment
- Preferred: 1+ year lab, accessioning, production, or warehouse experience
