Department: SMC ORTHO SURG MED PRAC
Pay Range: $55.27 - $91.19
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in accordance with approved delineation of privileges.
- Use an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
- Organize personal work and maintain patient flow; give sound guidance and direction to others involved in care of patients.
- Work independently and autonomously; make good decisions.
- Maintain clear communication and active listening; demonstrate critical listening skills.
- Commit to updating skills and proficient use of resources; work as part of a team and with all types of people.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and eye/hand coordination; ensure precision in care.
- Maintain basic computer skills as part of job duties.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education Requirement: Graduate of approved course of study; experience acceptable to the State Education Department. Training and experience must be within the scope of practice of the supervising physician to whom they are assigned.
- Minimum Experience Requirement: Must have privileges at Samaritan Medical Center. Must demonstrate clinical competence to the satisfaction of the medical staff and boards.
- Other requirements: Visual and auditory acuity with or without adaptive devices; ability to organize work, maintain patient flow, and provide guidance to care teams; ability to work independently; ability to make good decisions; certified or eligible for certification by the NCCPA within one year; documentation of certification filed with staff secretary; certification to test and counsel HIV patients; continued State registration documentation submitted to staff secretary.
- Minimum License Requirement: BLS required. PALS, ACLS and ATLS preferred.
