Become a member of Delta's World Class PRM team as a TATL Revenue Management Specialist.
Works closely with the General manager, peer managers in Inventory and Pricing, and market analysts to ensure revenue management objectives are met. Coordinates planning, implementation and measurement of revenue management strategies. Broadens the skill set of new analysts and develops current analysts. Provides input and analysis for upper management. Quick extraction and analysis of new and existing market data into information as needed on an ad-hoc basis. Requires outstanding analytical, leadership and managerial skills. Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
A successful candidate will be able lead a team of analysts who analyze current supply and demand dynamics, discern customer travel behavior, collaborate cross functionally, be comfortable with ambiguity and use the available tools to maximize revenue. The candidate must have strong relationship building and be able to communicate market performance statistics to peers, leaders and key stakeholders within the Commercial and Operations teams.
Responsible for portfolio of markets that represents roughly 1/7th of the domestic system in an effort to balance short-term and long-term profitability, while delivering industry leading RASM
Own market performance, identifying functional and cross-functional opportunities and working across disciplines to deliver optimal performance
Proactively communicate performance results and market opportunities to department leadership
Lead their team of individual contributors responsible for driving revenue maximizing strategies, guiding them in the creation, implementation and refining market strategies
Develop individual analysts, preparing them to move up the responsibility curve; identify and invest in potential future leaders on the team
Collaborate with Pricing and Network to uncover and address new opportunities and optimize current strategies to maximize revenue, RASM, and share
Lead structured and ad hoc projects that improve market performance, business processes, and technology
Excel at manipulating large amounts of information for trend and opportunity identification
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Experience within a commercial function (Revenue Management, Network Planning) and a working knowledge of the airline industry
Should possess strong financial and analytical skills, sound organizational and planning skills, and strong interpersonal skills required for collaboration
Need to be solution-oriented multi-tasker and have demonstrated the ability make business decisions anchored by analytics
Must possess strong commercial instincts and the ability to work well within a multi-cultural, open and dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to distill complex ideas into simple messages
Demonstrates initiative and self-directs work
Ability to develop new and existing members on the team
Experience with or ability to learn business planning and analysis software tools such as SAS, Hyperion/Brio, and other PRM tools
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Must be performing satisfactorily in present position
