General Description
The Floor Care Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by properly maintaining floor surfaces. Prior knowledge of chemical safety and maintenance is beneficial. Employee can perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential Functions
  • Clean floors in offices, hallways, and stairwells by sweeping and mopping, and operating floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers, floor machines, carpet machines, and wet/dry vacuums
  • Properly use chemicals to properly maintain floor surfaces
  • Dispose of trash and debris at job sites properly
  • Uses knowledge of chemical safety to maintain chemicals and supplies on site
  • Maintain positive client relations by displaying professionalism
  • Use timekeeping system, keys, and security codes.
  • Report any needed supplies and equipment repairs to the supervisor, along with any potential hazards
  • Complete non-routine/emergency cleaning as specified by work orders
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Availability to work assigned hours and the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Precision and attention to detail
  • Previous cleaning and floor care experience preferred.
  • Floor Technicians must possess valid driver's license, to ensure the ability to travel independently to respective job sites and drive company vehicles.
Work Environment
  • The nature of the work is physical, requires uninhibited manual dexterity, lifting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling 25 pounds repeatedly and up to 60 pounds (occasionally).
  • May be required to work atop ladders and operate mechanical equipment.
  • Work is performed in a variety of conditions, may be exposed to extreme temperatures (0-90 degrees)
