Under the leadership of the Lead Interventional Technologist, this role provides technical assistance to all physicians working in the Interventional Suites with both diagnostic and interventional procedures. Responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within the Imaging department. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization and stewardship of all technical, physical and human resources. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients in area, ranging from neonate to geriatric. Participates in performance improvement activities within the Interventional department and participates in CQI activities. This position requires compliance with all Joint Commission, state, federal, Corporate Radiation Right, and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Must possess critical thinking skills and strive to create and maintain great relationships with all facility stakeholders. Responsibilities of the Special Procedures Technologist
Assist with all procedures performed in the Interventional Suite.
Demonstrate proficiency with all equipment within the Interventional Suite procedure room including but not limited to: Fluoroscopy, Pan Table, Med Rad injector, Monitors, Ultrasound Unit, Control panels for digital acquisition and image
