Responsibilities
- The Radiology Technologist operates x-ray equipment as designated for the Radiology Department.
- Selects proper exposure factors and demonstrates through knowledge of radiographic positioning.
- Practices radiological technology in a manner that ensures radiation safety for self and the patient.
- Performs diagnostic and invasive procedures on Cardiac/Interventional platforms.
- Demonstrates competency and proficiency with x-ray equipment in various locations such as Cath Lab/Interventional labs.
Qualifications
- Experience necessary for satisfactory performance.
- Licensed by the State of California in Radiology and Fluoroscopy.
- Certified by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists preferred.
- Current Basis Life Support Level C Certificate.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT CVI certified preferred.
- At least three year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, or previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab, required.
- Current ACLS and BCLS required (AHA).
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Certified within 6 months of hire.
