We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher to support students in an inclusive elementary school environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary-level students with exceptional needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Participate actively in staff meetings and collaborative planning sessions
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings (overtime may be approved as needed)
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Manage a caseload of approximately 30 students
- Valid Exceptional Children (EC) Teaching Licensure
- Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of special education practices, IEP development, and compliance requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Must be willing to complete required background screening as per district guidelines
- Passionate about supporting students with special needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to student success
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and meeting documentation requirements
