As a School-Based Special Education Inclusion Teacher in Washington, DC, you will:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in inclusive classroom settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum, modify instruction, and implement accommodations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure student progress.
- Differentiate instruction to meet each student's academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Monitor student performance, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with IDEA and district regulations.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Position: Contract (Option to Renew)
- Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
- Location: Washington, DC
- Setting: K-12 School-Based
- Caseload: Inclusion Special Education
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with students with disabilities in an inclusion setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and evidence-based instructional practices
- Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
