Gifted Teacher

(MUST HAVE GIFTED K-12 DESE CERT)

Location: North St. Louis County, MO

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Contract Length: 9 Months

Shift: Typically 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (may vary between 7:30 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM based on assignment)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Gifted Teacher to support advanced learners in North St. Louis County. The ideal candidate will create engaging learning experiences that challenge and inspire students while fostering academic growth and social-emotional development.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-range instructional plans.

• Deliver engaging lessons using effective teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.

• Provide enrichment and extensions in Science, Math, English Language Arts, and Social Studies.

• Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven instructional practices.

• Foster a positive learning environment and manage student behavior effectively.

• Support diverse learning styles and individual student needs.

• Facilitate social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons and student support.

• Communicate student progress and educational needs with parents and guardians.

• Organize field experiences and enrichment opportunities aligned with student interests.

• Collaborate with school staff and district personnel.

• Travel to various schools throughout the district as needed.

• Participate in professional development and school-related responsibilities.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Teaching Certification or ability to obtain appropriate certification.

• Experience working with gifted and talented learners preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

• Passion for supporting high-achieving students and differentiated instruction.
