Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (per Michigan Department of Education requirements), OR
  Bachelor's degree with current enrollment in a state-approved teacher certification program recognized by the MDE
• Preferred endorsements include Learning Disabilities (SM) and/or Cognitive Impairment (SA)
• Previous classroom teaching experience, especially in elementary or high school settings, strongly preferred

What You'll Do:

• Deliver direct and indirect instructional support for students with disabilities, fostering growth in sensory, behavioral, and academic domains
• Adapt and implement IEP goals utilizing evidence-based instructional strategies and assistive technology
• Modify curriculum and teaching techniques to address each student's unique learning style, with a focus on multisensory instruction
• Facilitate engaging classroom activities through a balance of direct instruction, guided practice, and independent learning
• Collaborate regularly with general educators, related service providers, administrators, and families to drive student success and meet all special education regulations
• Promote positive behavior and teach social skills using proactive, supportive approaches
