Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Active Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience teaching in special education settings preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability in the classroom
• Knowledge of current instructional strategies and accommodations for diverse learners
• Dedication to collaborative work with colleagues, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Design and facilitate engaging, individualized lessons tailored to each student's needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to drive student success
• Assess students' academic and functional performance, documenting progress and adjusting strategies as needed
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities
