Special Education Teacher - Silverton, Oregon

Multiple classroom options are available based on your experience and preference, including:

• A middle school life skills program (12 students, 4 instructional assistants)-blend behavioral and academic supports for diverse learners.
• An elementary K-2 developmental classroom (16 students, 5 instructional assistants)-focus on building basic skills and functional routines; some students are non-verbal.
• Two roles in an elementary behavior program for grades 3-5 (13 students, 4 instructional assistants)-intensive behavioral interventions and individualized support.

What we're seeking:

• Valid Special Education Teaching credential/licensure (or eligibility) for K-12 in the state.
• Prior experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including behavioral and developmental needs.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to follow established lesson plans and adapt instruction for student growth.
• Onsite availability and willingness to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) for the duration of the assignment.
