About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and highly effective Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs from PreK-12 . In this role, you will design and deliver individualized instruction, develop IEPs aligned to student goals, and collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. Responsibilities Include:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Providing differentiated instruction based on student needs
- Supporting students in both inclusive and self-contained settings
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, case managers, and support staff
- Using data to track progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintaining strong communication and documentation
- Creating a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate with Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) endorsement, or eligibility
- 3-5 years of experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, accommodations, and modifications
- Experience with inclusive, resource, and self-contained classroom models
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and digital learning tools
- Successful completion of required criminal history background check
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency
