Make an Impact in Special Education
We're seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to support middle and high school students in a resource classroom setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about helping students achieve academic success while collaborating with a strong special education team.
The ideal candidate is comfortable providing direct instruction, managing IEPs, documenting student progress, and partnering with educators and families to support student achievement.
Position Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services

Deliver small-group resource support for middle and high school students

Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and services

Maintain compliance documentation and progress reporting

Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Support student academic growth and independence

Qualifications
Required
? Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Special Education Certification
? Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
? Minimum 2 years of Special Education experience in a middle school and/or high school setting
? Experience with IEP development, case management, and progress monitoring
Preferred
? Strong knowledge of middle and high school curriculum
? Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
? Experience supporting resource classroom programs
Compensation

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred

Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
-
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
