We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a leave of absence coverage assignment at a supportive Title I elementary school in Northglenn, Colorado . This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in an Affective Needs classroom serving students with serious emotional disabilities.
- Support a classroom of approximately 7-10 students in grades 3-5 .
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with administrators, general education staff, related service providers, and families to support student success.
- Valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities is strongly preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
