Special Education Resource Teacher

TactStaff EDU is hiring compassionate and collaborative Special Education Resource Teachers for the school year in the New Haven and Bridgeport areas of Connecticut. These positions are located within supportive, student-centered school districts committed to inclusive education, academic growth, and strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support student success
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintain compliant IEP documentation and progress monitoring
• Support students academically, socially, and emotionally within inclusive learning environments
• Foster positive classroom culture and student engagement

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Special Education certification required
• Must hold or be eligible for Connecticut #165 Special Education credential (Initial, Provisional, or Professional)
• Prior school-based or resource room experience preferred
• Strong collaboration, organization, and classroom management skills
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and inclusive educational practices
