Special Education Teacher Mod/Severe

Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher (Significant Support Needs - Center-Based Program) to join an elementary school team for the school year in Westminster, Colorado. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-5 students with significant support needs in a highly collaborative classroom environment.
What You'll Do:

• Lead instruction for students with significant support needs
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Supervise and train 5-6 paraprofessionals
• Collaborate with related service providers, families, and school staff
• Support students' academic, behavioral, communication, and life skills development

Requirements:

• Valid Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility)
• Experience in IEP writing and implementation
• Strong background in special education teaching
• Ability to manage and lead paraprofessional teams
• Completion of CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training within 90 days

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Significant Support Needs (SSN) classrooms
• Experience working with ELL/ESL students
• ESL endorsement or Linguistically Diverse Education (LDE) certification
• Experience in center-based or self-contained special education settings
