We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher - Moderate/Severe to support students in a structured, center-based learning program designed for students with Autism. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students in a structured learning services classroom.
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) and appropriate instructional strategies.
- Support students with Autism and varying behavioral and educational needs.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, school staff, families, and district support teams.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs.
- Maintain effective classroom systems, routines, and structures.
- Grade Levels: Kindergarten-5th Grade, with a primary focus on K-2.
- Caseload: Approximately 8-14 students.
- Hours: 40 contracted hours per week.
- Classroom Support: Paraprofessionals assigned based on student needs.
- Program: Structured Learning Services / center-based program for students with Autism.
- Appropriate Colorado Special Education teaching licensure/certification.
- Experience working with students with Autism.
- Strong behavior management skills and experience supporting diverse behavioral needs.
- Ability to create and maintain structured classroom systems and routines.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Experience in a structured learning or moderate/severe special education setting is highly valued.
