Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week

Contract Length: 10 Months

Position Overview

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a resource classroom setting. In this role, you'll work closely with students, families, and fellow educators to provide individualized support and help students reach their academic and personal goals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs

• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

• Implement IEP goals and monitor student progress

• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

• Participate in student planning and team meetings

• Maintain required documentation and compliance standards

Compensation

Local: $50/hour

Travel: Competitive travel packages available, including housing and meal stipends.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
