Special Education Teacher in Naperville, IL

Step into an impactful role supporting students with special needs in a collaborative, resource-rich school environment! We're seeking passionate Special Education professionals for three onsite contract positions in the greater Naperville, IL area. Assignments are at elementary and middle school levels and range from inclusion/resource support to structured programs for high-incidence disabilities.
Three opportunities are available:

• Hall Elementary: Inclusion/resource support, managing a caseload of 9-10 students.
• Reskin Elementary: Structured classroom setting for students with high-incidence needs. Class of 5 supported by 2 paraprofessionals.
• Marquardt Middle School: Co-taught and instructional ELA setting with a caseload of 8-9 students.

This is a full-time commitment (35 hours per week) running from August 2026 to May 2027. The right candidate is collaborative, compassionate, and ready to create a positive impact for students of diverse abilities.
Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (required)
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, including supporting students with behavioral needs and personal care, such as toileting assistance
• Strong communication and adaptation skills for working in both resource and structured instructional environments
• Flexibility and empathy when interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and inclusion/resource support, collaboratively or independently, depending on assignment
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and learning goals tailored to student needs
• Foster social, emotional, and academic growth in a nurturing environment
• Partner with paraprofessionals and general education teachers to enhance student success
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to parents and staff
