Special Education Teacher in Elgin, IL

Step into an impactful role supporting exceptional young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a dedicated, self-contained classroom. This full-time contract opportunity centers on guiding a small group of K-2 students with diverse, significant needs. Working in person, you'll foster growth for four students in a multi-needs setting, focusing on individualized instruction and comprehensive support. Your work will be essential in creating an encouraging and adaptive environment where every child can thrive.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with primary grade students, particularly those with significant or multiple needs
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong collaboration skills with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Ability to create and adapt lesson plans for individualized learning goals
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:
