The Quabbin Regional School District is seeking an experienced special education teacher who has DESE certification at the high school level for the School Year. Experience with IEP writing, conducting achievement assessments and working collaboratively with general education teachers is required. In addition, this position works within a classroom of students with multiple disabilities utilizing strategies that meets learning and behavioral requirements for the students individually and as a group. The candidate for this position should have experience with working with students with moderate to severe cognitive challenges while providing a multi-modal level of support in enacting behavior and safety plans, establishing positive relationships with students, understanding the unique learning profiles of the students, and an ability to negotiate social/emotional needs as they pertain to a student's educational programming. Salary and benefits according to QRTA Contract - starting range $63,981
