Special Education Teacher - Fishers, IN

An exciting contract opportunity is available for dedicated Special Education Teachers with experience in both Life Skills and Structured Teach (Autism Support) classrooms.
In this role, you'll support student growth by delivering high-quality, individualized instruction within a supportive and collaborative school environment. We are seeking educators passionate about building positive relationships, fostering independence, and innovating in special education practice.
Ideal candidates will have:

• Active certification in Moderate or Mild Intervention (depending on placement)
• Experience working with diverse learners, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or intellectual disabilities
• Strong collaborative and communication skills to engage with classroom staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability with lesson planning, data collection, and individualized education program (IEP) implementation
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom culture

• Delivering targeted instruction based on student IEPs
• Managing a caseload of approximately 10-15 students
• Collaborating to develop and monitor goals tailored to student needs
• Utilizing structured teaching strategies and evidence-based interventions, especially for autism support
• Creating and maintaining a positive, safe, and accessible classroom environment
• Engaging in regular communication with caregivers and the educational team

• Life Skills Teacher: 7:20 a.m. - 3:10 p.m., Moderate Intervention certification required
• Structured Teach (Autism Support) Teacher: 8:20 a.m. - 4:10 p.m., Mild Intervention certification required
