Special Day Classroom that uses instructional methods and evidence-based practices to support the behavioral and social needs of children on the autism spectrum.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Knowledge of modern teaching methods and techniques for students with IEPs
• Ability to assess individual needs, establish appropriate goals and design and implement a program for each student.
• Strong pedagogical skills
• Breadth of experience in educational technology
• Instruction with a 21st century perspective

Rowland Unified serves a diverse, multilingual student community. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. RUSD requires applicants to have a valid California Credential in Special Education authorizing Extensive Supports Needs and must hold a CLAD or similar authorization for instruction to English Learners. Intern Eligible Candidates will be considered. Please upload the intern eligibility letter form in place of a credential copy. Credential students completing their credential program in Summer 2024 and will have their document issued by 08/01/2024 are encouraged to apply. • Copy of Transcript (Copies of all college coursework credits)
• Credential Copy (valid California Credential in Education Specialist Instruction - Extensive Support Needs or status letter showing issuance date by 8/1/2026.)
• English Learner Authorization (CLAD/BCLAD or similar English Learner authorization)
• Letter of Introduction
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (3(preferably within the last 2 years and from at least one direct supervisor))
• Resume

• Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Moderate/Severe (Extensive Support Needs)
