Pay Rate: $50.00/hr Work Schedule:
- 7:00am - 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Job Description
- Develops, implements, and monitors Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal regulations.
- Plans and delivers instructional lessons that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students with disabilities.
- Creates and maintains a classroom environment that is safe, structured, and conducive to learning.
- Employs a variety of instructional strategies, interventions, and adaptive materials to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Works collaboratively with general education teachers to promote inclusion and mainstreaming opportunities when appropriate.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student progress, maintains accurate records, and prepares required reports and documentation.
- Schedules, facilitates, and participates in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and reevaluations.
- Maintains regular communication with parents, guardians, educators, and support staff regarding student needs and progress.
- Enforces district policies, classroom procedures, and behavior plans in a fair and consistent manner.
- Supervises students during transitions, lunch, field trips, and other school-related activities to ensure safety.
- Provides basic first aid and responds appropriately to student health and safety needs.
Qualifications
- South Carolina Teacher Certification in one of the following areas:
- Generic Special Education
- Multi-Categorical
- Learning Disabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and procedures (IDEA compliance).
