Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Ability to work with K-12 students across various disabilities and learning needs
- Strong understanding of IEPs and the development/implementation process
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Organized, adaptable, and dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are welcome to apply
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with diverse needs in accordance with each IEP
- Adapt and tailor lesson plans to accommodate various learning styles and capabilities
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff
- Maintain accurate student records and track progress
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
