Special Education Teacher: Autism Spectrum Disorder
Elementary School: Grades K - 8
NJ Department of Education Certification Required
Teacher of the Handicapped or Elementary School Teacher K - 8 plus Students with Disabilities certification or Elementary School Teacher K - 6 plus Students with Disabilities certification or qualify for certification through the Limited Instructional Certification Program
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate or qualify for certification through the Limited Instructional Certification Program
- Holder of a Certificate of Eligibility must complete the 50 hour pre-professional experience as required by the NJ Department of Education
- Demonstrates ability to implement an IEP effectively
- Demonstrates knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
