Special Education Teacher | Arvada, Colorado

This opportunity, located near Arvada, CO, runs from August 20, 2026, through June 3, 2027, providing a rewarding chance to make a meaningful impact across a full academic year. You'll work onsite, dedicating 34 hours each week to a classroom of students who require individualized assistance, all within a Tuesday through Friday schedule-enjoying long weekends with Mondays off.
Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher licensure (required)
• Demonstrated experience or training working with Significant Support Needs (SSN) populations
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with staff, students, and families
• Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for various learning needs

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the varied needs of students with significant developmental and learning challenges
• Collaborate closely with related service providers, general education teachers, and families
• Collect and document data on student progress, adjusting supports as needed
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence
