We’re currently seeking a full-time, in-person Special Education Teacher to support a school in Fairfield County, CT for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Details:

- Onsite, 37.5 hours per week
- School Year: 2026-2027
Qualifications:
- Hold one of the required special education licenses listed for this role (e.g., Comprehensive Special Education 1–12 (265), PK–12 (065), PreK–12 (165), or integrated early childhood/elementary + special education options as listed).
- Demonstrated experience working with students who have special needs diagnoses.
- Ability to support highly specialized student needs within dedicated programs or classroom environments.
- Ability to teach and reinforce functional life skills and independence-focused learning objectives.
- Ability to support students in transition-focused programming as needs are identified for the caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for students with identified disabilities and individualized learning needs.
- Deliver classroom strategies aligned to the needs of the student population served (including autism support and behavior-focused programming).
- Incorporate supports such as sensory accommodations and adaptive technologies when used in the classroom setting.
- Teach functional academics and daily living skills to promote student independence and post-school readiness.
- Support vocational and transition-oriented skill development for students preparing for adulthood.
