West Elementary School, located in Polk City, is seeking to hire a special education paraeducator. Individual must be flexible, collaborative, and willing to learn and grow. Hours: 7:25 am - 3:10 pm Monday through Friday 7 hours per day Compensation: $17.82 - 20.11/per hour depending on certification Benefits: Benefits associated with this role include paid leaves, including sick and personal, as well as IPERS. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supporting a safe, positive teaching and learning environment. Adhering to the Individual Education Plan and maintaining confidentiality regarding student educational programming. Assisting in the physical and intellectual development of students. Supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. Establishing positive and productive relationships. Communicating consistently with teachers, staff, and students. Demonstrating ethical and professional standards of conduct. Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other staff to ensure best practice and supports are in place for students.
