- Supervise and support students throughout the school day, including transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times.
- Assist students with daily routines and functional tasks to ensure they participate safely and appropriately in school activities.
- Support personal care needs such as toileting, hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance, following district and classroom protocols.
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
- Assist staff with preparing materials, organizing the classroom, and maintaining cleanliness and safety.
- Implement behavior supports and de-escalation strategies as directed by certified staff.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, teachers, and other team members.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information at all times.
- Participate in required training, including behavior intervention, crisis prevention, health protocols, and disability awareness.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma
- Pass a background check
- Complete the IDEAS modules(6 hours) and Special Health Care training (6 hours-provided by nurse) within 30 days of employment
- Complete 12 hours of PD a year
- Maintain current CPR training.
