NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that is safe, respectful, inclusive, and conducive to learning.
- Plan, deliver, and assess standards-based lessons using evidence-based practices and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students
- Use data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitor students goals on the IEPs.
- Collaborate regularly with grade-level colleagues, support staff, and families to enhance student learning.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to strengthen instructional practices and remain current in evidence based methods.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting equity, inclusion, and the academic success of all learners
- NYS Students with Disabilities All Grades or SWD B-2 and 1-6
- This is a probationary 10-month position.
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation of certified staff.
