Special Circumstance Instructional Assistant
The Special Circumstance Instructional Assistant provides individualized and small-group support to students under the direction of a classroom teacher and administrator. This position supports students in both special education and general education settings by assisting with instruction, participation, behavior, task completion, and other individual needs. Duties may also include preparing instructional materials, supporting student supervision, and providing personal care assistance when required. We are looking for a patient, dependable, and compassionate individual who enjoys working closely with students and being part of a collaborative school team.
Requirements / Qualifications
Proficiency in basic skills required: passage of the CODESP Test or 48 semester units of college credit, or an AA Degree.
