Special Agent
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is currently seeking experienced law enforcement investigators to fill Special Agent positions within the Violence Prevention & Wellness Division (VP & Wellness). The VP & Wellness Division specializes in preventing targeted violence and threat mitigation. Special Agents will also be providing peer support to other members of FDLE.
Special Agents are sworn law enforcement officers who will specialize in the following:
- Conducting intelligence lead investigations and behavioral assessments of persons of concern (POC) who appear to be on the pathway to committing an act of targeted violence
- Conducting threat investigations
- Providing Peer Support services to other members of FDLE
To be considered as a potential candidate, you must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Minimum qualifications:
- At least ten years' experience investigating violent physical crimes as a sworn criminal investigator
- Active law enforcement certification or eligible to be certified in the State of Florida per s. 943.13, Florida Statutes & CJSTC Requirements
- Superior interpersonal communication skills
